Cubes
This project-in-progress uses cubed paper instead of flat paper to free the story from the linear requirements of traditional fiction and let the story exist as genuine fragments that will always be read in a different way. This video is a combination of photographs and graphics designed to give you a feel for what reading the cubes is like:
There are six characters, and each cube portrays one (related) moment from each of their stories. The cubes can be taken as a puzzle -- you can try to find just one single character's story -- or as a game -- you can try to rearrange them in novel ways to create a new story.
The total number of cubes is as yet unknown. As the story develops, more cubes are born. I hope in the end there will be enough of them that the reader might be literally immersed in them.
