The White House Whore House
To the San Francisco Chronicle:Dear Editors,
Thank you for tackling the question "who is Jeff Gannon" in your recent editorial -- this is an astounding story, speaking directly to U.S. national security failures, as well as to the cynical media manipulation we experience in this current highly-partisan political climate.
Many are inclined to blame James Guckert (aka "Jeff Gannon") for this embarrassing mess. This is perhaps because Mr Guckert made an easy target of himself by auctioning off his sexual services via public websites complete with photos of him posing sexually, urinating, etc., while masquerading as a USMC marine -- before he attempted to masquerade as a journalist.
It is very clear the kind of man this Guckert is, and it is not the sort of man most Americans want anything to do with.
The real concern for most Americans is, WHO allowed this entirely un-trustworthy individual into the White House, giving him access to the President of the United States?
WHO showed such incredibly bad judgement? WHO thought he was so above all consequence? WHO had so little respect for the office of the Presidency? WHO gave an internet prostitute access to the president, day-pass after day-pass after day-pass?
We must demand, as a nation, that the person responsible for this breech pay a real price. There must be consequences. Without discipline, we cannot have confidence in the staff of this White House.
